What Is Data Hygiene?

Aug 17, 2021

Very often the data in business’ mailing lists has been gathered from various sources, both in-house and obtained. The result is a list that is formatted in many different ways. Standardizing the format may reduce your postage considerably. Removing duplicates definitely will do that. So will the other processes included with our Data Hygiene Service:

CASS (Coding Accuracy Support System)

We test the accuracy of addresses and improve the accuracy of postal coding, such as ZIP+4.

NCOA (National Change of Address)

If a change of address has been filed with the USPS, we will automatically update the database with that new address.

DPV (Delivery Point Verification)

DPV allows verification of corrected addresses that are known by the USPS but may not have been captured in your database.
